If you want to read a great book, Cosmic Consciousness, by Richard Maurice Bucke, all you have to do is click the title and the PDF is yours to keep. Published in 1901, it is in the public domain now, so this is perfectly legal.
If you want to know a little more about it before you read it, please read my blog post, Song of Walt Whitman and Myself. Bucke and I seem to agree that Whitman not only wrote about cosmic consciousness, but was the embodiment of it.
